Write to contact@internationaldrivingservice.com. Include your order reference if you have one — it is the six characters after IDS- on your receipt. Replying to any email we have sent you works just as well and reaches the same inbox.

The questions we get most

What is an international driving permit?

An international driving permit is a booklet that translates your national driving licence into the languages named by the 1949 Geneva and 1968 Vienna road traffic conventions. It is carried alongside your own licence, never instead of it, and it lets an official or a rental agent read your entitlements in a format they recognise.

Do I still need my own driving licence?

Yes, always. The permit is only valid when presented together with the national licence it translates. Travelling with the permit alone will fail at a rental desk and at a roadside check.

How long does it take to get an international driving permit?

The digital copy is issued the same day, usually within minutes of a person checking your documents. Printed booklets are dispatched by tracked courier and typically arrive within five to nine working days depending on the destination.

Are you a government agency?

No. We are a private document preparation service. We are not a government agency, a licensing authority or a motoring club, and we do not issue national driving licences. Any seller in this category claiming otherwise is misleading you.

What is your refund policy?

If the destination you told us about refuses the document we recommended for it, we refund the order in full, including the printed booklet and its shipping. You can also cancel for any reason before the booklet goes to production.
