Who we are
International Driving Service ("we", "us") is a private company that prepares and delivers international driving documentation. We are not a government agency, a licensing authority, or a motoring club, and we do not issue national driving licences.
These terms form the agreement between you and us when you place an order through this website.
What you are buying
You are buying a document preparation and delivery service. Depending on your destination, that is either an international driving permit issued under the 1949 or 1968 conventions, or a certified translation of your existing licence. We tell you which one applies to your destination before you pay.
The document is presented alongside your national driving licence. On its own, in almost every country, it is not sufficient to drive.
Acceptance is determined by local law
Whether the document is accepted is decided by the law of the country you are driving in and by the policy of the company renting you a vehicle. We publish the current requirement for each destination we cover, and we update it when it changes, but we cannot guarantee the decision of an individual official or rental desk.

Your responsibilities
You confirm that the driving licence you submit is genuine, currently valid, and issued to you; that the details you give us match it exactly; and that you are legally permitted to drive.
Submitting a forged, altered, suspended or revoked licence is a criminal offence in most jurisdictions. We refuse those orders, refund nothing, and may report them.
Delivery
Digital documents are issued after your upload passes review, typically within minutes. Printed booklets are dispatched by tracked courier; transit times vary by destination and are outside our control once handed over.
You are responsible for giving us a deliverable address. We will reship free of charge once if a parcel is lost in transit.
Pricing and payment
Prices are shown in US dollars and charged once. There is no subscription and no automatic renewal. Payment is processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card details.
Limitation of liability
Our liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for the order. We are not liable for consequential losses such as missed flights, cancelled bookings, rental refusals, fines, or alternative transport costs.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Changes
We may update these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one published when you paid. Material changes are announced on this page with a revised date.
